Fan Mail

I love receiving and responding to fan mail and since putting up my first cover in July 2012, have received many which i have treasured and have been much encouraged by them. I thank you all so very much for your praise, appreciation, suggestions, requests and support.

I thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite emails and comments here on the website. Of course I’ll keep all names anonymous, unless I’m given specific permission to reveal them. If you see your comment here and would rather it remain between the two of us, please let me know… I would totally understand and remove it without hesitation ok?

Please feel free to comment…and add to my favourite fanmail hehe! Oh yea…when you comment, do put something in the name box, otherwise wordpress treats it as spam :-p Thanks for reading my stuff πŸ™‚

  1. I totally agree with Frozen is Awesome. You would write a fantastic Love is An Open Door, judging by the perfection of your other Frozen pieces!!!! Since you are so great at writing this type of music, I was wondering if you would consider some pieces from another movie kind of like it: Disney’s Tangled, specifically I See the Light and When will My Life Begin. I cannot find good transcriptions of these songs anywhere else for free (as you so wonderfully give away your amazing songs!!!!!) Please consider it, Tangled and Frozen are my favorite movies ever!!!!!!!

  2. I don’t mean to be rude, but I have a friend who loves Frozen music and I want to play all her favorite songs for her, so I just want to know if you plan on writing it. I don’t want to try to find it anywhere else because no one else writes them as perfectly as you do. πŸ™‚ Also, just curious: how long have you been writing music for? I’ve tried to write some songs but all I end up with are lame right hand melodies. πŸ˜›

  3. I love your music so much!!!!!! You do such great job with capturing the feelings of the songs, let alone sounding exactly like them!!!! Just wondering if you could please write whenever a song needs to be pedaled? Also if you could pleas write Love is An Open Door, that would be fabulous!!!!

    1. All the pieces that I cover need pedalling πŸ™‚ but pedalling…is very subjective. You need to pedal by ear. Some pianos need more pedalling than others. That’s why most piano scores don’t include pedal markings (even some exam pieces). That’s at the discretion of the performer (or teacher). It’ll take too much extra time for me to write in the pedal markings and it’ll clutter up my scores too much. I already have lyrics, chord symbols and tempo markings there πŸ˜›

      1. That’s what I thought. πŸ™‚ Pedaling by ear comes difficult to me though……Love is an Open Door??

      2. Yes I plan to do Open Door when I get the chance. Really really busy these pasts weeks with paid transcriptions πŸ˜› Some guides to pedaling. Change pedal:
        1. when the chord changes
        2. When there are many right hand notes within the same chord and it sounds messy if you pedal the whole lot;
        3. At rests (you want to hear a break in sound, so change pedal to cut off the notes before it);
        4. At staccato notes, either leave out the pedal or pump the pedal (change at every note.

        Hope this helps!

Omg your taste in music is actually amazing, I’m so glad when I want to learn a new song I hear in movies or dramas that I can find them here, because honestly the transcriptions you put out sound so much like the actual songs it’s so fun to play. Btw, I’m curious with all your multi pages how do you flip the page on that tablet of yours lol? always wondered haha πŸ˜›
