INFINITE – Mom (from Destiny album)

This is my first cover of a song by INFINTE. Their mini-album, Destiny, was released on 16th July 2013. There are only 4 songs on it, and of course, I love the ballad 🙂 Dedicated to Moms everywhere, the beautiful lyrics are supported by the sweet melody (and lovely chords). The original song is in Dbmajor (5 flats plus a bunch of double flats!) so I’ve included sheets for a Transposed version. As usual, I’m playing the original key because it sounds better :-).

SNSD Taeyeon – BYE (Mr. GO OST)

The OST Queen, Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, sings this beautiful and touching song. BYE is the official soundtrack of Mr. Go, South Korea’s first full 3D movie. It tells the story of 15-year-old Wei Wei and her gorilla Ling Ling, who perform in a circus, playing baseball! This song made me cry when I read the subs.. :’)

Xia Junsu – 11AM

I LOVED this song as soon as I heard it…before I knew what the lyrics even meant 😛 Xia Junsu sings with such emotion about his pain over lost love! I just HAD to cover it, but transcribing this was tricky. I REALLY wished I had 3 hands and 2 pianos to play on 😉 The end result is that the left hand is pretty challenging…best for intermediate to advanced pianists. Hope you all enjoy the beautiful and expressive (I hope) music!

Painkiller – T-ara, The Seeya, 5Dolls, SPEED

Painkiller is a catchy song, with a sad meaning…about being unable to ease the heartache of a break-up. Jiyeon acts in the MV for this digital single, a collaboration between T-ara’s Soyeon, The Seeya’s Yoojin, 5Dolls’ Eunkyo and SPEED’s Taewoon and Sungmin. The project album, Tears of Mind was released on June 10 under CCM (core Contents Media). I like the music, but am in no way in favour of suicide…especially because of lost love (which is, so often temporal anyway).

Henry – Trap ft. Taemin & Kyuhyun

Trap is the debut solo mini album of Super Junior-M member Henry. It was released on June 7, 2013, and immediately became hugely popular (judging from all the requests I’ve received haha!)

Featuring Taemin from SHINee and Kyuhyun from Super Junior-K, this catchy, foot-tapping song starts with a showy, impressive solo piano performance by Henry. I hope I’ve managed to capture all the notes as played by Henry 🙂 Thanks for watching!
