This upbeat, inspirational song comes from the soundtrack of The Croods, an animated feature by Dreamworks Animation, that was released in cinemas on March 22, 2013. It’s composed by Alan Silvestri and sung by Owl City and Yuna, who is Malaysian (like me!)

Transposed means it is in an easier key than the original 🙂 In the case of Shine Your Way, the original was in D flat major (5 flats). The transposed version is in C major, just one semitone lower, but no sharps or flats 🙂

thank you for your transcription of SHINE YOUR WAY. AMAZING!!! I would have had to do it from scratch, and you not only saved me the time, but did an excellent and amazing job. I teach chorus, and am going to have my jr. high kids learn this. (thanks to you!)
